- Can I use RightTrack on any phone?

- An accelerometer, gyroscope, and proximity sensors. Some Android phones don't have these features. iPads, tablets, and Windows phones are not compatible.
If your phone isn't compatible, you'll see an incompatibility message when you open the app.
Why is it important to monitor my trip categorization?
Only trips where you are the driver count toward your score. The app will accurately detect when you are the driver, but it's still a good idea to check the app periodically to make sure all trips are correctly categorized. What impact does the app have on my phone battery?
I am changing my phone. How do I continue to participate in RightTrack?
The amount of battery used depends on the model of your phone. The app uses about the same amount of battery as other driving navigation apps. We recommend charging your phone while driving if you're taking a long trip. Trip recording will automatically stop when your phone's battery life is at 20% and below or when battery save mode is on.
In order to continue with the RightTrack program, simply re-download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Then log back in if you already have an online account. If you don't have an online account, choose "Enter activation code" in the RightTrack section. On the activation code entry screen, use the "Already activated or need a new code?" link to request a new activation code via email. Once you've successfully activated and your permissions are correctly set, you'll be able to continue using RightTrack.
How much data will the app use?
How is my data used?
Data usage varies depending on the amount of engagement with the app. From a strictly trip capture standpoint, the app uploads about 500-600KB of data per hour of driving. If you were to drive 1 hour/day for a month, it would equate to 18MB of data, a small fraction of a typical US data plan. To minimize the amount of data the app uses, go to your RightTrack settings and toggle "Upload my trip data over Wi-Fi" on. This will only restrict data usage for sending your trips to us for processing. Your phone will still use data during trip capture.

Once you enroll in RightTrack and download the app, you'll need to register using your Liberty Mutual online account information OR use the activation code from your welcome email. If you are not the primary driver, you will register using your activation code.Is my data continuously collected?
Does every driver on my policy need to download the app?
No, your driving data is only collected when the app detects vehicle movement. Your trip data might be delayed in uploading to the app when there is poor cellular data connection.
Yes, all drivers on your policy need to download the app and register to participate in the RightTrack program in order to qualify. If a driver doesn't download the app and register, the initial 10% discount will be removed from your policy. For customers in GA, MA, MD, RI, and VT, not all drivers need to download the app, but in order to get the most accurate data and driver/passenger distinction, we encourage every driver with a smartphone to download the app and complete the registration process to participate. Your final score is determined by evaluating the driving behavior of all drivers on your policy. Drivers who do not participate may lower overall policy savings because their driving behavior is unknown.
